QA Automation Engineer (Cypress)

Job Description
Join our agile distributed team that builds, maintains and optimises experiences used by customers to interact with our client’s multiple energy products and services, thus transforming the way people use energy every day. The vision: making zero-carbon happen!
In this role, you will work within a product team with 2 engineering squads, among other testers, production engineers, product managers and designers. You will be using your testing expertise to write and execute test plans to help ensure the delivery of high quality solutions, and in doing so you will also write and execute test cases both manually and automated.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Making sure acceptance criteria are well defined
- Maintaining existing automation test to ensure high standard quality for mobile and web platforms
- Identifying critical defects and provide detailed steps to reproduce them
- Write test case and testing plans
- Write documentation for new and existing e2e tests
- Coordinate with other team members, design and product teams.

The following key points are required:
- 2+ years of professional experience working in QA, having both Manual and Test Automation exposure, in agile environments
- Very good understanding of development lifecycle, testing practices and quality assurance processes
- Experience with test planning and management, test case design, and performing user acceptance testing
- Hands-on experience in creating and maintaining automation frameworks in Cypress. Good knowledge in Jest
- Experience with Detox e2e testing
- Excellent analytical and debugging skills
- Open and friendly personality, as well as drive, initiative, problem-solving mindset, excellent interpersonal and team-working skills
- Very good verbal and written communication skills in English
- Bachelor or higher degree in computer science (or equivalent).
